Wear it again: Just because the wedding is over doesn't mean you can't wear your bridesmaid dress again! Why not wear your bridesmaid dress if you have another wedding to attend? You can also wear it to other formal occasions too. For example, when I attend a charity event, my go-to source for finding a dress in my closet. That's because my closet contains all of the bridesmaid dresses I have worn in the past. No need to spend a pretty penny on a dress when you have a perfect, beautiful dress waiting in your closet!
Fun tip: Why not host a party where you and your friends can sport your old bridesmaid dresses? And don't be afraid to think outside of the box for this event. For example, why not have a "Bridesmaid & Bowling" event? You would gather your friends, tell them to dress up in their old bridesmaid dress and go to your local bowling alley to have some fun. This of course is a goofy idea, however, think about how fun and memorable the event would be! There are plenty of themed parties that you can host where you could rock your bridesmaid dress.
Donate it: If you don't want to keep your bridesmaid dress, consider donating it to a worthy cause! There are plenty of organizations that accept donated bridesmaid dresses. For example, in Plano, Texas, St. Andrew Prom Closet collects bridesmaid dresses for disadvantaged high school students to wear to their prom. Check out your local non-profits to see where you can donate your bridesmaid dress! By donating your bridesmaid dress you are potentially giving someone an opportunity to feel beautiful without breaking the bank.
Sell it: If you want to make a little moolah off of your bridesmaid dress, consider selling it! There are plenty of online marketplaces that accept bridesmaid dresses for sale. For example, Poshmark, eBay, and Facebook market are examples of online places to sell your bridesmaid dress. When listing your bridesmaid dress, make sure to include as many details as possible and plenty of pictures to help the potential buyer visualize what the dress would look like on them.
Upcycle it: If you are feeling crafty, consider upcycling your bridesmaid dress into something new! For example, you could turn your bridesmaid dress into a throw pillow, piece of wall art, or even create it to be a whole different dress. The world is your oyster, so don't be afraid to get a little innovative.
